THE BRAVE LITTLE TAILOR is a great little fantasy, primarily due to the stunning visual design, utilizing wild, psychedelic sets that border on the surreal (we love the trip into the giant sunflower patch), and some excellent mythical creatures, like a unicorn and a "terrifying" wild boar. There's also two real ugly ogres that are genuinely creepy.
This exemplary German production was released by Childhood Productions in 1969, their last year, and to our knowledge, has never seen a home video release in the U.S. There is a European release; however, we do not know if it is currently available.
